Overview
Chutneys are a newer entrant to the Greek export basket, developed largely for UK, northern European and GCC customers who pair them with cheese, cold meats and grill menus. The base fruit and vegetables are Greek; the flavour profile borrows from international tradition.
For a well-built cheese or gifting range, a small chutney line adds premium price points and cross-merchandising options without demanding a lot of shelf space.
History
Chutney as a preserve tradition arrived in Greek export production through UK and Commonwealth demand from the 1990s onwards. Greek producers adapted local fruit (fig, tomato, pepper, quince) into slow-cooked spiced preserves aimed at cheese-board and cold-cut pairing.
Origin
Fig chutneys come from Kymi and the Peloponnese, pepper chutneys from Florina in the north, and tomato-based chutneys from central and southern mainland. All are typically produced by specialist SME preservers.
Production
Slow open-pan cooking, gentle vinegar and spice balance, glass jar packing with a hot fill for shelf stability. Recipes are frequently tuned per customer, so private-label projects reach shelf faster in this category than in most.
Varieties and signature products
The Range: Apricot Chutney with Ginger, Plum Chutney with Spices, Fig Chutney, Pepper Chutney.
Certifications
Depending on the sub-range we work with producers holding IFS, BRCGS, ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 food-safety certifications, alongside PDO, PGI, Organic (BIO) and Halal / Kosher where relevant to your greek chutneys programme. Certificates and specification sheets are shared before order confirmation, not after.

Bulk greek chutneys for repackers, blenders, industrial users and downstream processors. Tank, drum, IBC and food-grade bag-in-box options where available, with certificates of analysis and traceability to the producer.
Private Label
Full private-label programmes for greek chutneys: recipe fine-tuning, packaging artwork coordination, label compliance for EU, UK, GCC and other target markets, plus MOQs that work for growing brands rather than only for the largest importers.
Export information
We export greek chutneys from Greece to buyers across the EU, the United Kingdom, the GCC (Saudi Arabia, UAE and neighbours), with active projects in Japan and North America. Shipments run ex works, FCA, FOB or CIF according to your Incoterms preference, consolidated with other Greek products where a full container is not yet on the table.
Buyer tips
Chutneys are inherently a pairing product, plan them next to your cheese, deli and gifting ranges rather than in a standalone condiment block. Ask for suggested pairings from the producer, they usually know their own product better than a generic buying guide will.
